Psychiatrist shortage - Fox 28

Posted: 26 Apr 2010 04:31 AM PDT

A shortage of psychiatrists is forcing Indiana mental health centers to hire temporary physicians to help meet patients' needs.

But some doctors say the temporary hires aren't a good solution because mental health patients need consistent care and to build relationships with their medical providers. They say short-term doctors don't fill that need.

A recent study shows the number of U.S. psychiatrists rose 15.2 percent between 1990 and 1999, compared with a 37 percent spike in the number of psychologists.

Experts say funding cuts have led medical schools to offer fewer residencies and cut training opportunities and forced many mental health facilities to merge or close.

Traditional Advertising's Extreme Makeover Embraces the ... - Earthtimes (press release)

Posted: 26 Apr 2010 05:14 AM PDT

BLUE BELL, Pa., April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Bulldozer Digital's Founder and CEO, Fred Catona, creates the near-perfect advertising/marketing model by combining the best features of the old with the exceptional power of the new.

First he invented Direct Response Radio Advertising, which his company pioneered, launching Priceline.com and FreeCreditReport.com to a valuation of over $20 billion in 18 months.

Now he has created a proprietary system, Digital Convergence Marketing; an end-to-end advertising and marketing solution that effectively applies radio advertising analytics with the efficiency and pervasiveness of digital applications.

Fred Catona says, "Times have changed and the traditional approaches to advertising and marketing must change and adapt to today's marketplace. Due largely to the Internet, consumers today are much more discerning, demanding and impatient than ever before."

"If you just try to sell to them you will usually hit a wall with a majority of buyers; the most successful companies will be the ones who first take the time to build relationships with the consumer. At Bulldozer Digital we see advertising as merely the beginning of a long and mutually beneficial relationship between the Seller and Buyer."

Bulldozer Digital's Direct Response Radio, with its high listenership and low CPM, delivers the seller's message to millions of targeted consumers.

Whether it is soup or pharmaceuticals, tech services or coffee, Bulldozer Digital's Digital Convergence Marketing combines Direct Response Radio with exclusive digital and Internet applications to build consumer trust and brand recognition resulting in immediate, initial sales and future on-going sales on a continual basis.

Bulldozer Digital is located at 887 Village Circle in Blue Bell, Pa. 19422. Contact Fred Catona, Office: 215 540 1860; Fax: 215 392 3379. Please visit http://www.BulldozerDigital.com.
